Depression and Moodiness
Depression can feel like a deep sadness, but it can also feel like “emptiness” or “numbness.” Maybe you don’t enjoy the things that used to make you happy or you may go through life on the verge of tears. You may be avoiding people, because you feel like a "downer." Depression can cause changes in sleeping and appetite. You may be feel hopeless, question your worth, or feel like everything is “pointless.” You may be struggling to control thoughts about death or dying. Sometimes, just getting out of bed or showering can feel extremely difficult. People can experience unstable highs as well: This increase in energy may feel good at first–but eventually feels unstable and can cause disruption in relationships, work, and life. Sometimes people feel irritable and moody all the time and just can't understand why or what to do about it..
